Aurecon has appointed Jared Lillywhite as National Defence Engineering Director and Stephen Carroll as Client Director for Defence Infrastructure.

Having spent over 19 years with Aurecon, Jared will partner with Aurecon’s engineering and technical teams to develop design solutions for the Defence and National Security market.

Stephen joined Aurecon 11 years ago and has experience in leading and project managing high-profile Defence infrastructure projects, including the Australian Government’s AIR 7000 maritime patrol aircraft replacement project and most recently the New Zealand Defence Force P-8A Ohakea project. Prior to joining Aurecon, Stephen was a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Australian Navy and has held many roles within Australia’s Defence Force, spanning over 40 years.

Aurecon Managing Director Defence and National Security, David Barnes, said he is excited by the appointments to further build Aurecon’s market capabilities and strengthen its offering to Defence and National Security clients.

“Defence and National Security clients in Australia, New Zealand and other regions are investing significantly in infrastructure and capability – and are heavily reliant on industry to bring these projects to life,” David said.

“Design thinking, advances in digital technology, and increases in data generation also present new opportunities to better deliver projects and optimise assets for our clients.

“Stephen and Jared bring deep, practical understanding of our clients’ unique needs to their new roles which, supported by our broader digital and service delivery capability, will help us craft an increasingly differentiated offer in the market.

“We are excited to have both individuals join our market in these roles, and I know they will put our client’s experience of working with Aurecon at the forefront of everything we do,” David said
