An Australian law enforcement agency has selected DroneShield to deliver advanced counter-drone solutions under a contract valued at over AUD1 million.

This procurement forms part of a broader initiative to modernise law enforcement tools and mitigate the growing risks posed by unauthorised drone activity across Australian skies.

The increasing accessibility of drones – and their use in surveillance, disruption, and potential attacks – demands fast, intelligent, and reliable responses.

By working with an Australian-owned and operated technology provider, the agency reinforces the importance of sovereign capability in national security. Locally developed and supported systems ensure rapid delivery, seamless training, and ongoing product updates tailored to the dynamic threat landscape.

This partnership also supports the Australian Government’s Commonwealth Procurement Rules, which prioritise homegrown innovation and industrial resilience in defence and security.

“We’re proud to support another Australian law enforcement agency with our sovereign, AI-powered solutions,” said Droneshield CEO Oleg Vornik. “As drone incursions become more frequent, particularly around high-profile events and critical assets, frontline personnel need effective tools that are easy to deploy and operate. Our systems are built in Australia, for Australia’s unique operational needs.”

DroneShield’s products include a mix of hand-held, on-the-move, and expeditionary systems, enabling officers to detect, assess, and neutralise rogue drones with speed and precision. The selected technologies are designed for use in various operational settings, including protection of critical infrastructure, major public events, sensitive facilities, and restricted airspace zones.

At the core of DroneShield’s offering is a powerful integration of AI-driven radio frequency sensing, deep-learning-based signal recognition, and non-kinetic countermeasures built for maximum impact with minimal complexity.

This procurement further strengthens DroneShield’s domestic footprint and highlights the increasing relevance of its solutions in the civilian security environment where threats are becoming more complex, and response time is critical.
