DX Class elevators catapult the ANZ property industry into the digital revolution
KONE, has introduced an elevator series to feature built-in connectivity as standard.
New anti-fingerprint, anti-scratch, and anti-microbial surfaces are now available as part of the DX Class elevator series. The new KONE DX Class enables customers to tailor and plug in additional software and services for elevators throughout the entire lifetime of a building. By using open application programming interfaces (APIs), KONE’s approach makes it easy to manage and integrate different devices, apps and services with new and existing systems. API connectivity means third-party API solutions can seamlessly connect to KONE DX Class elevators and will contribute to the creation of unique and personalised services. KONE is also announcing ecosystem partnerships with leading technology companies including Sine, Blindsquare, Amazon Alexa and more to bring new levels of sophistication to the people flow experience.
For elevator passengers this brings a host of new, multisensory experiences inside the elevator, combining physical hardware and digital services. These can be customised according to individual needs and preferences, bringing new levels of ease and convenience.
“The KONE DX Class elevator will not only revolutionise visitor experience, but also enable facilities and operations managers to improve efficiencies, safety and overall hygiene standards, elevating the urban experience and renewing trust in our CBDs and urban centres,” says Antony Ceravolo, Founder and CEO, Sine, Australian-based visitor management software provider and KONE ecosystem partner. “All of our check-in management and contact tracing technologies are built into the cloud, which means we have been able to create a completely touchless experience for guests visiting commercial buildings – from entrance, through carriage to end destination floor.”
“Today we are launching a first in the Australian and New Zealand markets: a ground-breaking class of digitally-connected elevators which enable mass-customisable services that bring convenience to customers and users,” says Jérôme Audais, Managing Director, KONE, ANZ. “We have worked closely with our customers to develop and define our KONE DX Class elevator series so it can best meet their fast-changing needs. New technologies give us opportunities to create an integrated and easily adaptable building experience. As buildings evolve, the elevators can also evolve in ways we have not seen before. The KONE DX Class elevator series offers our customers a fantastic opportunity to future proof buildings and uplift the experience for tenants.”
“With this launch, we are merging the technologies of tomorrow with the buildings of today to put the ‘smart’ into smart buildings,” says Jérôme Audais. “KONE DX Class will transform elevator journeys for Aussies and Kiwis by making them more user-friendly, more enjoyable and most importantly, safer, while meeting the changing needs of infrastructure, buildings and services for years to come.”
