Nominations have opened for the 2026 Australian Security Industry Awards, with entries closing on 31 July 2026, according to the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL).

The 2026 program will be presented as a joint ceremony covering the 30th ASIAL Annual Industry Awards for Excellence, the 11th Annual Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs), and the 15th Annual Australian Security Medals Awards.

ASIAL said the awards are intended to recognise achievements across Australia’s private security sector, spanning individuals, teams, organisations and industry initiatives.

For the 2026 Australia OSPAs, the categories listed are Outstanding In-House Security Manager/Director, Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director, Outstanding Security Team, Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding), Outstanding Security Consultant, Outstanding Security Training Initiative, Outstanding Security Partnership, Outstanding Security Officer, Outstanding Female Security Professional, Outstanding Young Security Professional, and Outstanding Security Sustainability Award.

Founder of the OSPAs, Professor Martin Gill, said “This year we are delighted to add 2 new categories to the Australia OSPAs, Outstanding Security Officer and the Outstanding Security Sustainability Award. This means there is even more opportunity for the Australia security sector to progress to the Global OSPA competition and be in with a chance to highlight what fantastic work is being produced in Australia”

The awards ceremony and dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, 28 October 2026 at the Park Hyatt in Melbourne, with ASIAL organising the event.

ASIAL directed entrants to the Australia OSPAs website for nomination submissions and category criteria: au.theospas.com/enter.
