An Indigenous construction company has been awarded a $107.8 million contract to deliver facilities at a RAAF bombing range.

“The contract with Tiwi Partners Pty Ltd for works at Delamere Air Weapon Range would support 150 jobs during the project’s construction phase” said Minister for Defence Industry Melissa Price. “In a major win for local businesses, 80 per cent of the sub-contracted work will go to local industry.”

“This project will support the Growler Airborne Electronic Attack capability, including demolishing the old facility and constructing three new Mobile Emitter Site Mounds.”

The project will improve supporting infrastructure and ensure Delamere continues to be able to provide the required capability to Air Force.

Work on the project will start in late September and is expected to finish by June next year.
