Australian industry and research organisations can apply for a share of $20 million to help them develop Logistics Uncrewed Aerial Systems that can deliver critical supplies and evacuate casualties from high-risk combat zones.
In partnership with the Defence Innovation Hub, the Australian Army is seeking proposals that use tactical Logistics Uncrewed Aerial Systems to solve complex challenges on land.
Industry and research organisations can submit their ideas through the Defence Innovation Hub as part of a two-stage procurement process.
Up to 25 successful respondents will be invited to exhibit their proposed innovations as part of Army Innovation Day 2022 in Adelaide this August.
Proposals considered worthy of further development could then enter contract negotiations with Defence.
Army Innovation Day, held annually since 2014, showcases Australia’s defence industry and gives the industry the opportunity to work with Army and align their technologies with specific capability needs.
Australian and New Zealand industry and research organisations are invited to apply, with submissions closing on 5 May 2022.
