Certis Australia Appoints New VP of Aviation Security

Integrated security services company Certis Australia has appointed aviation industry expert and company alumnus Christina Rose to the role of vice president of aviation security. Her primary focus will be to provide strategic and operational oversight to Certis’ national aviation footprint.
Rose has over 20 years of experience in aviation security, tertiary qualifications each in education, media, terrorism and security, She has a 360 degree view of the industry through her time operating in both government and private sectors.
Rose has held senior leadership roles with the Office of Transport Security, and more broadly within the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development covering Australia’s international engagement with ICAO and APEC partners.
Most recently, Rose held an executive role within the Qantas Group. She also brings a deep knowledge of Certis, having previously worked as ACT Aviation Security Manager for four years.
Her career has encompassed periods of major shifts to the aviation sector’s operations. Rose has been at the forefront of driving policy changes, improving safety while improving passenger experience, and most significantly, being part of the implementation of the Air Security Officer program in Australia in the wake of the September 11 attacks in the USA.

Leading over 2,000 aviation security staff, frontline and corporate, at Certis, she will oversee the organisation’s security services at major airports including Adelaide, Canberra, and Sydney, working to make these sites safer, smarter and better. She will also be working closely with senior management to establish Certis’ Aviation Centre of Excellence.
