The Annual AISA Information Security Awards recognise and promote excellence, innovation and professionalism in the area of Information Security by individuals, projects, and organisations.

1. Information Security Professional of the Year: Craig Templeton

The recipient’s contributions, achievements or /workplace initiatives demonstrate and promote excellence, innovation and professionalism in the area of IT and information Security. The recipient has demonstrated leadership in either a managerial or technical capacity

2. Information Security Rookie of the Year: Mark Kose

The recipient’s contributions, achievements or /workplace initiatives demonstrate and promote excellence, innovation and professionalism in the area of IT and information Security Though the reciCompanypient has been involved in the information and IT security field for three years or less and their contribution has been significant and demonstrates their ability to quickly discern and address security issues.

3. Information Security Project of the Year: ANZ Bank

The recipient’s contributions, achievements or /workplace initiatives demonstrate and promote excellence, innovation and professionalism in the area of IT and information Security. The recipient project has achieved outcomes above the ordinary with limited resources.

4. Information Security Employer of the Year: CSC Australia

The employer gave information security professionals an appropriate voice in their corporate Governance and risk management processes The employer provided sufficient time and resources to allow a professional to maintain and improve skills levels. The employer provided opportunities to advance in either a technical or managerial stream

5. Information Security Educator of the Year (new): Jill Slay, University of NSW
