ForgeRock , the leading open platform provider of identity management solutions, has announced the appointment of Aled Miles as executive vice president global sales, effective immediately. He will report to Mike Ellis, CEO of ForgeRock. The new appointment further strengthens the company’s global sales team as ForgeRock grows its identity management market share in the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

“Aled is a world-class sales leader with a proven track record of driving global expansion in highly competitive, fast-paced technology markets,” said Mike Ellis. “He’ll be instrumental in pursuing global opportunities as ForgeRock continues to grow rapidly in order to meet the increasing demand for identity management solutions that enable enterprises’ digital transformation and IoT strategies. This is a strategic hire for us, particularly as we accelerate expansion into new regional and vertical markets.” As executive vice president, Miles will be responsible for global sales strategy and execution.

“With digital transformation taking hold, the explosion of IoT devices, and smart-city initiatives taking shape around the world, ForgeRock is perfectly positioned to tie everything together with its unified identity platform,” said Miles. “Exciting opportunities are ahead of the company, and I look forward to working with both the sales and wider ForgeRock teams to help drive continued market-share growth.”

Before joining ForgeRock, Miles served on Symantec’s executive committee; during his combined 20-year career there, he held a number of global positions in both EMEA and the Americas. In his most recent role, reporting to the CEO, Miles was senior vice president with responsibility for operations and revenue for the Latin America Geography, Global Strategic Accounts; including IoT, Cloud and SaaS partnerships and the global ‘Norton’ business.  Prior to his tenure at Symantec, Miles was a divisional vice president and general manager for NASDAQ-listed defense supplier Axsys Technologies, where he was responsible for full P&L and driving major contracts with national defense agencies around the globe.
