Gallagher, with channel partner Access Datacom, was named the winner of the Special Security Event or Project under $500,000 award at the Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence last week. This award is presented to an organization which has completed a security project of significance with regard to its outcome, benefits, initiative, complexity, or challenges.

Gallagher partnered with South Australian company Access Datacom, who designed and installed an integrated Gallagher security solution at the new Adelaide Botanic High School.

With lots of open spaces around the campus, the school required a security solution that is open yet secure. Gallagher’s Command Centre software and access control hardware were utilized to create a completely keyless campus. Integrations with SALTO, MIFARE, and Bluetooth Mobile technology offer the highest standard of security for access control credential technology.

“The Gallagher security system at Adelaide Botanic High School has been such a success, they are now the standard security system for the Department for Education’s new school constructions,” says Karl Harris, Gallagher Sales Manager for South Australia. “Our systems create a safe and secure learning environment that gives students and staff peace of mind knowing any emergencies can be responded to quickly and easily.”

Gallagher Command Centre enables the school to have complete control of campus security from one central management platform. Should an emergency arise, the school can be locked down within seconds, creating secure safe zones and notifying staff, students, and visitors via SMS and broadcast notifications instantly. Using the latest mobile technology, staff are able to activate a lock down from their phones.

The Australian Security Industry Awards for Excellence acknowledge contribution of exceptional individuals and organizations in the security industry. They were presented at the Park Hyatt Melbourne on 17 October 2019.
