Have Your Say on Alcohol-Related Online Data Tool

The NSW Government is seeking community feedback about LiveData, an online tool which provides access to liquor licence information together with alcohol-related crime and health data across the State.

Liquor & Gaming Executive Director of Investigations and Enforcement, Valerie Griswold said LiveData had a wealth of information to inform the community about proposals for new liquor licences.

“The NSW Government is inviting feedback from businesses and the community about the online tool which has received over 10,000 visits since its launch just over a year ago,” Ms Griswold said.

“The alcohol-related crime data is provided by BOCSAR on a quarterly basis and the health data is obtained from the HealthStats NSW website.

“It brings together multiple data categories from a range of government sources in one centralised, easy-to-use portal, giving customers easy access to the latest data on liquor-related information in their local area.
“Businesses and the community now have access to the same data considered by the Independent Liquor & Gaming Authority.

“Feedback from the Have Your Say survey, along with consultations with community groups, government agencies, the legal community and peak industry bodies, will help identify any potential improvements to the online tool.

“LiveData is another example of the Government’s commitment to make NSW a world leader in customer service and digital technology.”

The survey is now open and will close on Monday 8 November.
