Melbourne to Host Security Industry Awards Night in October

The Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) will hold its 28th annual Australian Security Industry Awards at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne, on October 24, 2024.

ASIAL says the event will mark excellence and innovation across the security industry and be held in conjunction with the 9th annual Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) and 13th annual Australian Security Medals Awards (ASMFs).

The Security Industry Awards for Excellence will include categories for electronic security installations greater than AUD500,000; electronic security installations less than AUD500,000; diversity and inclusion; individual achievement in technical security; individual achievement in protective services; integrated security solution greater than AUD500,000; integrated security solutions less than AUD500,000; product of the year – access control systems; product of the year – alarm systems; product of the year – video surveillance systems; product of the year – physical security; security equipment manufacturer/distributor/supplier; unsung hero – electronics security sector; and unsung hero – protective services sector.

The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) include categories for outstanding in-house security manager/director; outstanding contract security manager/director; outstanding security team; outstanding contract security company (guarding); outstanding security consultant; outstanding security training initiative; outstanding security partnership; outstanding female security professional; and outstanding young security professional.

The Australian Security Medals Foundation (ASMF) awards involve the Australian Security Medal, the Australian Security Medal of Valour, and the St John Save a Life Award.
