Jason Smith has been appointed as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA).
As a highly experienced Chief Risk Officer, Jason has a terrific understanding of the risk profession and RMIA member needs. As a Director on the RMIA Board, he is also very familiar with the professional development and educational initiatives being pursued by the RMIA.
We are very fortunate to have someone of Jason’s calibre joining the RMIA office in a leadership role. He will be taking the baton from Andrew Lynch, who has been fulfilling the General Manager role during 2019 and who previously served as RMIA’s Marketing and Communications Manager since 2017.
As we farewell Andrew, I’d like to acknowledge his contributions to the RMIA and wish him all the very best as he pursues his career by returning to focus on marketing and communications.
Jason joins the role at a time the RMIA is a good shape with total membership numbers exceeding recent years, the annual RMIA conference set to be a blockbuster and with enterprise risk management courses regularly selling out.
