XTEK reported this week the company received an urgent order to supply A$2.75m of Specialist Ballistic Armour Products. The Group’s Ballistics Division, received the Purchase Order from an undisclosed customer to the value of A$2.75m for the urgent supply of specialist ballistic armour products. Scott Basham, XTEK Group CEO, said, “By leveraging the Group’s advanced manufacturing capabilities in Adelaide, South Australia, and in Columbus, Ohio, in the US, we were able to immediately respond to and fill this order for the urgent supply of A$2.75m of specialist ballistic products. It is a great demonstration of the Group’s capabilities to support our customers with little to no notice to meet their urgent operational requirements.”
The company also announced that it received a new purchase order totalling A$2.75m from the Commonwealth of Australia’s Department of Defence, for “Wasp” Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) systems. This new order adds to other orders, also recently received from Defence for SUAS spare parts and related specialist software, worth a total combined value of A$4.94m. Items are to be delivered through to 2023. Scott Basham said: “The systems and spare parts from this order will be held in our state-of-the-art SUAS repair facility in Canberra, and the specialist software, including our XTatlas software, will be deployed to key locations around the country, and be used to keep this important UAV capability operational for Defence.”
