Certis Security Australia has appointed Kang Song Lim as Chief Executive. As head of the Certis’ senior leadership team in Australia, Kang Song will focus on introducing new technological solutions to the Australian security sector. Kang Song is also part of the Certis Group’s executive leadership team.

With over 30 years of experience in the Asia-Pacific technology industry, spanning Australia, New Zealand, India, China and Singapore, Kang Song is a former Managing Director of Oracle Corporation in Singapore and has previously held senior leadership positions in organisations including IBM and Hyperion Solutions.

He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Kang Song was a member of The Committee on the Future Economy, a government taskforce, and ICT sector co-chair of TechSkills Accelerator, an initiative that aims to build and develop a skilled Information and Communications Technology workforce for Singapore’s digital economy.

“I am absolutely delighted to join Certis at this opportune moment,” said Kang Song. “Our technological operations expertise, supported by Certis’ global experts and best practices, are uniquely placed to help our Australian customers transform and optimise their operations through industry-leading technology.

Kang Song Lim will be taking over from Tom Roche, who has led Certis Security Australia since the acquisition of his family company, SNP Security, in 2018.

Roche is retiring after almost four decades in the Australian security industry. He will continue to consult to the Certis Group as a senior advisor, and is confident that the Certis Security Australia brand, and the legacy his family built over almost 100 years of operation in Australia, are in safe hands.

“My team and I have successfully integrated the SNP and BRI businesses under the Certis Group brand, forging a new and strong Certis for the Australian market,” said Tom Roche.

“As a strong advocate of the Certis value proposition and the way we are positively changing the way security is delivered, I have worked with my team to introduce operational, technology-led solutions to the Australian market. Our commitment to the growth and development of our people and this business, rich in culture and history, is something I’m immensely proud of.”
